1. Who this policy applies to

This Privacy Policy applies to the SnapGrid macOS app and the website pages in this project.

2. Data SnapGrid may process

SnapGrid may process the following categories of data:

  • App preferences and layout profiles.
  • Basic technical information needed for app stability (for example, crash diagnostics if enabled).
  • License or purchase metadata if distribution and billing are enabled.

SnapGrid does not need to read your document content to arrange windows.

3. macOS permissions

SnapGrid requires Accessibility permission to move and resize app windows. This permission is requested by macOS and can be revoked at any time from: System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility.

4. Analytics and third-party services

If analytics, crash reporting, or payment providers are used, those services may receive limited technical identifiers and usage events required to deliver their features. Their data handling is governed by their own privacy policies.

5. Data retention

Local settings remain on your device until you remove them or uninstall the app. Service-side records (if any) are retained only as long as needed for support, legal compliance, or billing.

6. Your choices

You can:

  • Revoke Accessibility access in macOS settings.
  • Request data deletion for service-side records, where applicable.
  • Stop using the app and remove local app files.

7. Children

SnapGrid is not directed to children under 13, and no intentional collection is performed from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the update date on this page will be changed and the revised terms will apply from that date.
